COMBERMERE SCHOOL was not closed yesterday.
Nor was the reason behind the students assembling on the playing field due to the recurrence of environmental problems at the Waterford, St Michael school.
Instead, the sulphur-like odour at the school yesterday morning was the result of an off-site issue.
Combermere School Parent-Teacher Association (CSPTA) president Rolerick Sobers yesterday highlighted these facts following reports that the school had once again been evacuated with students falling ill.
When the MIDWEEK NATION visited Combermere yesterday morning around 11 o’ clock, both junior and senior students were making their way to the playing field. (AD)
