THE Barbados Football Association (BFA) cannot change its rule to accommodate a single member club.
That’s the response from chairman of the BFA’s technical committee, Adrian Donovan, to last week’s resignation of former council member Roland Butcher.
Butcher, the head coach of the Academy of Sport, University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus resigned from his position on the BFA’s executive board of management after the association refused to amend its eligibility rules.
But Donovan yesterday charged that UWI, who won the Digicel Premier League title last year, playing under the same rules, could not expect the BFA to give one club special favours at the expense of others. (EZS)
