Inniss: Lead by example

IF GOVERNMENT MINISTERS do not lead by example, then the whole public sector system may just falter.

The often outspoken Minister of Commerce Donville Inniss made these comments yesterday as he spoke at the opening of the Congress of Trade Unions and Staff Associations of Barbados’ (CTUSAB) Week Of Excellence symposium at Hilton Barbados Resort yesterday.

Inniss was delivering his address on the impact on the business climate and pointed out several areas in which the country needed to improve to better its level of productivity.

He identified the need for a better work ethic, greater patriotism and a need to better understand how the economy worked. (AD)
