TWO-TIME winning Gold Cup owner Kenneth Ramsey, in his instant fixation with this Caribbean racing showpiece, has again pinned his hopes for another win on a two-pronged attack, and the five-year-old bay horse High Noon Rider is one of them.
By Distorted Humor out of Modesty Blaise, High Noon Rider has won three of his 19 lifetime starts. Not originally owned by Ramsey, he entered the winner’s enclosure in his third start when travelling one mile at Aqueduct in November 2014.
Five starts on, he was again victorious at Gulfstream Park, capturing an Allowance Optional Claiming race $40 000 as favourite over seven and a half furlongs.
He has raced consistently at one mile and on August 3, 2015, he gave his best exhibition when he made all the running to win the Better Talk Now Stakes at Saratoga. (LY)
