THE GIRLS OF Lester Vaughan School should soon join their male counterparts at the top of the Barbados Secondary Schools Athletic Championships (BSSAC).
That’s the bold prediction of their physical education teacher Alwyn Babb.
In an interview at the inter-house sports medal presentation at the school on Monday, Babb said: “Like the boys, our school will eventually win the girls’ title. Across the three divisions we were always depending on two divisions to score our points; for the last two years we were looking to the Under-13 and the Under-15 divisions.
“We are seeing that spread into the Under-17 and, in the next school year, we will see them go into the Under-20 and spread right across four divisions,” he said. (RG)
