I AM 20 years old and I am having problems with my current boyfriend. He listens to a lot of gossip.
Two girls asked him if he expects that when a formal friend takes me out or out by my mother, that I wouldn’t have sex with him? But we just go out and have a good time.
We love going for long drives or playing the one-arm bandits for fun. That’s all we do. I don’t see how we can have an affair when children and friends are with us.
I don’t think my boyfriend should be vexed because he goes out with outside women.
My boyfriend has asked me to marry him but if he is doing these things, I’d like to know how in God’s name can I get married to him?
On the other hand, my formal friend has also asked me to marry him, but seeing he is white and I don’t really love him as a boyfriend, it would be unfair to marry him just for financial reasons.
Now when I ask my boyfriend to go out with me, he would say wait until the next day or that he has this to do or that to do and so forth. It’s kind of boring for any young woman to stay at home like a house monkey.
Tell me what you think and then what I should do.

It is unfortunate that the boy you call your boyfriend is not as interested in taking you out to places of entertainment the way your formal friend does. Maybe where you are concerned, he is only interested in that great indoor sport – sex.
He is not really in love with you. In addition, because there is some physical intimacy between you, it does not mean you are more than a body to him.
Life can’t be spent in bed. If this is all there is, then it becomes very dull.
You will have to choose: remain a house monkey, or continue to enjoy the entertainment provided by your formal friend.
Your boyfriend goes out with other women while leaving you home and I see no reason why you cannot have friends of
your own.
Remember also that reasons other than “white is not right” might be more meaningful than that one. True love is colour blind.
