Tarique first to take Mr Exec title

TARIQUE GRIFFITH not only got a birthday treat, he also walked away with $800, an iPhone, a food hamper, a personal trophy and his name on the challenge shield of the first Mr Executive of St Leonard’s Boys’ School on Saturday night.

Griffith, who had celebrated his 17th birthday a day earlier, chalked up 1 862 points in the competition held in the auditorium of the Richmond Gap, St Michael school.

“I actually knew I was going to win because the Lord spoke to me and I feel really excited right now. I did a lot of work at home. I practised my interview question. I actually went on YouTube and learnt how to answer my questions,” he told the DAILY NATION after his victory.

First runner-up was Necoda Carrington (1 855 points), who received $400, a food hamper and a trophy, while Deandre Weekes-Hunte had to settle for third spot with 1 797 points. He was presented with a $300 cash prize, a food hamper and a trophy. (WILLCOMM)
