CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER of the Barbados Entrepreneurship Foundation (BEF), Celeste Foster, has made a call for more public secondary schools to expose their students to entrepreneurial programmes.
Foster’s encouragement came on Thursday as students that participated in the sixth annual Scotiabank $20 Challenge donated almost $4 000 of their earnings to 17 charities.
This year, 22 businesses created by the students of seven schools participated in the challenge.
These schools were The St Michael School, Graydon Sealy Secondary, St Winifred’s School, Harrison College, Deighton Griffith Secondary, Springer Memorial Secondary, and The Codrington School – the international school of Barbados. (SDB Media)
