TWO COCONUT VENDORS ended up in the dock at a Bridgetown court yesterday charged with causing a disturbance on the Warrens section of the ABC Highway on Sunday.

A heavily-bandaged Damian Omar Andrews, 32, of White Hill, St Andrew, and Antoine Rico McCloud Carter, 28, of Canewood Road, Jackson, St Michael, both admitted to the offence before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court.

Carter also pleaded guilty to throwing stones on the highway, with the likelihood of causing injury to someone, while Andrews admitted to assaulting Carter.

The prosecution said the two men, who were involved in selling coconut water, had a dispute about plumbing work. The exchange became heated and Andrews approached Carter, poking him in the chest and saying: “You ain’t paying me?” (TKS)
