POLICE ARE URGING members of the public to be responsible in their use of social media.

This comes in the wake of two unconfirmed reports involving multiple assailants, which have been circulating.

In a media release, police asked members of the public to officially report matters to the force so they can be investigated and help with the planning of strategy.

People are therefore asked to “desist from posting information on the social media which is fabricated”. (PR/SAT)
