STUDENTS OF HARRISON COLLEGE were yesterday advised to take advantage of the opportunities provided during their school years to build worthwhile lives.
Retired Anglican priest Canon Joseph Hennis reminded the Harrisonians attending the annual Founder’s Day Service at the Cathedral of St Michael and All Angels that they should always be mindful that the years spent at school were crucial to moulding their lives.
He said during those first 11 years of early schooling, “you will be in the process of shaping and developing yourself for the life you will live as an adult. What you will be when you grow into adulthood is now gradually taking shape in your mind”.
And while he suggested there might hardly be hindrances to enjoying the blessings of being a teenager, he warned the students to prepare for added responsibility at this stage of life. (GC)
