BARBADOS is serving up something different for Guatemala.

Looks like Adam Hornby will be going first up today, as the hosts have opted to save veteran Haydn Lewis for the latter half of the Americas Zone Group II
Davis Cup tie at the National Tennis Centre.

Non-playing captain Damien Applewhaite explained the decision during yesterday’s draw ahead of Hornby’s opening match against Christopher Diaz.

“We know this tie is different [from the one in Paraguay] and we believe that the doubles is very, very important. With Haydn being our doubles specialist, we want him 100 per cent fresh for that match,” said Applewhaite. (JM)
