Suspect found hanging in holding cell

A 34-YEAR-OLD Christ Church man was found hanging in a holding cell at Oistins Police Station today.

Police are investigating the incident which occurred sometime between 2:40 p.m. and 3 p.m. 

Public relations officer Acting Inspector Roland Cobbler said the deceased was brought into custody as a suspect around 2:10 p.m. and placed in the cell.

Around 3 p.m. the man was “discovered hanging by his pants from an iron bar”. (PR/NB)
