RAMON BROOMES rediscovered some of his old form to capture the prized Mr Bridgetown crown while Laslo Byron announced himself as the newest teenage titan at the annual Bridgetown bodybuilding/physique championships at Combermere on Saturday night.
Before an audience that included International Federation of Bodybuilding Fitness pros Antoinette Downie and Maurice Arthur, comeback kid Broomes and the promising Byron captured the two most coveted titles on the three-hour programme that also comprised men’s physique, bikini fitness and figure competitions.
Broomes, a 26 year-old personal trainer at First Fitness Gym, joined the long list of Mr Bridgetown bodybuilding champions that include Steve Weekes (1958), Keith “Big Keith” Waithe (1960), Emmerson Howell (1968), Moses Ashby (1971), and Jefferson Phillips (1987). (MK)
