Elderly man in critical condition after accident at Enterprise

POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING an accident with serious injuries which occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday along Enterprise Main Road, Christ Church.

It involved a route taxi driven by 60-year-old Ertha Kennedy of Upper Carter’s Gap, Christ Church and 73-year-old pedestrian Martin Crichlow of Lower Carter’s Gap.

Police say Crichlow was attempting to cross the road after he disembarked another route taxi when he was struck by Kennedy’s vehicle which was travelling in the opposite direction. 

Crichlow sustained head injuries as a result of the collision and was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance where his condition is listed as critical. (PR/NB)
