Licks for Lowe

MINISTER OF COMMERCE Donville Inniss has taken an opposing view to that of fellow Cabinet colleague Dr Denis Lowe on the polarising issue of same-sex marriage in Barbados.

Calling Lowe a friend and colleague, Inniss, the MP for St James South, said he wanted, however, to distance himself from the comments of the Minister of the Environment.

He also urged more Barbadians to improve their levels of tolerance regarding the personal choices being made by others.

On Sunday, Lowe made clear his feelings on same-sex relationships while addressing a function which honoured mothers in his Christ Church East constituency. (BA)
