MARK SEALY grabbed the headlines as the tenth annual BCQS/Jammin International Squash Masters finished on the Marine Courts yesterday.
The nine-time Barbados singles champion showed he had lost none of his flair and competitiveness from his heyday when he retained the Over-45 title with an easy straight-sets victory over Canadian Richard Pilon.
Sealy smashed the Canadian 11-4, 11-7, 11-3 in a surprisingly one-sided final and said that he had come prepared for a much harder fight.
“I played this guy before and I know he is good. However, I am very sharp at the moment. I placed third in the US Open in the Over-55 and came fourth in the Canadian Open where I had a chance to beat the world No. 8 but I failed to convert two match balls,” he said. (PR)
