Better bus route pledge

THE ST THOMAS leg of the Transport Authority Service Integration (TASI) project – linking Transport Board buses and minibuses – is a work in progress and will be improved.

Director of the Barbados Transport Authority Alex Linton made the promise in response to scathing criticism from Member of Parliament Cynthia Forde.

“TASI is the worst thing to happen with that Sturges bus,” she said of the Sturges Bridgetown route.”

“There are buses breaking down, buses and minibuses running out of diesel, un-roadworthy buses, minibuses without seats and more. We had a reliable service until around 2013 or 2014. (CA)
