CHELSEA TUACH IS continuing to make waves on the international surfing circuit.

The Barbadian has jumped to No. 12 in the world rankings after placing a commendable fifth out of 55 at the World Surf League Qualification Series 3000 Chiba Open in Japan. The result catapulted Tuach 11 spots up the rankings.

“This has been another great event for me. I feel confident in my surfing and am happy with my boards and was able to get good scores in all my heats,” she said.

“Unfortunately, I narrowly missed out on advancing out of my quarter-final heat with Phillipa Anderson, but felt that I put up a good fight. I feel very blessed and thankful to all who support me, especially my sponsors Suzuki Caribbean, the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc., the Barbados Olympic Association, Dragon, Dakine and Futures.”
