LOCAL COPS WILL be soon testing body cameras.
It’s all in an effort to improve police capabilities, according to Acting Commissioner of Police Tyrone Griffith.
The body-cam experiment will be a timely one for the force, coming a few days after some social media backlash that followed the arrest of a young man captured on a cellphone.
“If I could get body cams on every police officer in Barbados I would do it. These things can only work to our benefit. But it’s a very expensive venture,” Griffith told the SUNDAY SUN. (BA)
