QUEEN’S COLLEGE (QC) IS bracing for an exodus of staff.

More than two dozen are set to leave within the next six years, principal Dr David Browne has announced, a situation he described as very serious.

Speaking at a retirement function on Saturday night for four former staff members who gave a combined 149 years of service to education, Browne said there was a need for continuity and succession planning.

“Queen’s College in another four to six years would be losing over 23 staff members, both teaching and non-teaching, to retirement. In fact, as I speak, two members of staff have already sent in their letters of retirement,” he said at the event held at Accra Beach Hotel. (WILLCOMM)
