A MINI STADIUM with a nearly $10 million price tag is set to become a reality by 2020 for the Barbados Football Association, with financial assistance coming from the sport’s world’s governing body, FIFA.

That disclosure was made by BFA president Randy Harris in an interview with WEEKENDSPORT yesterday.

Harris revealed that FIFA had doubled Barbados’ annual subvention of US$250 000 to US$500 000 and will also be providing another US$750 000 yearly once the BFA satisfies specific requirements, he did not identify.

The revenue, he said, would allow Barbados to start the next two phases of its facility at Wildey, where the BFA’s headquarters has already been constructed, next to the football AstroTurf. (EZS)
