Fire destroys house in Hindsbury Road

POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING a fire of unknown origin, which occurred today at Hamlett Gap, Hindsbury Road, St Michael, around 1:10 pm.

The fire completely destroyed a two-storey wall house, owned and occupied by 59-year-old Linus Renee.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a pedestrian alerted the proprietor of a small shop attached to the building, that the top section of the house was on fire.

Eight fire officers and two fire tenders under the command of Divisional Officers Gaskin and Fenty responded to the blaze and extinguished the fire.
