Update: Police name man shot in Vauxhall

POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING a shooting incident which occurred around 10:15 a.m. today onboard a route taxi, at Vauxhall Main Road, Christ Church.

Raheem Farnum, 20, of 2nd Ave, Vauxhall received two gunshot injuries from a single gunshot.

Police public relations officer Acting Inspector Roland Cobbler said one injury was to Farnum’s left forearm and the other to his left side.   

He was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private vehicle for medical attention.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Farnum boarded the route taxi along Vauxhall Main Road. On entering, he observed a man known to him and indicated to the driver that he wanted to disembark.

On attempting to do so the same man pulled a gun and shot him. (PR/NB)
