DARNELL GREENIDGE and Alcindo Holder powered Crane Resort St Catherine to a semi-final spot when they defeated Massy United Insurance Wildey by six wickets with three balls to spare in the second Sagicor General Twenty20 quarter-final at Kensington Oval on Tuesday night.

In an exciting contest, St Catherine overhauled Wildey’s 140 for four by scoring 141 for six to join Sagicor UWI in the last four.

Greenidge and Holder came together with the St Catherine score on 77 for four in the 14th over. Sixty-four runs were needed from 40 balls with six wickets in hand. Strong hitting was needed and the two sprung into immediate action.

Greenidge struck two mighty sixes over the 3Ws Stand on the way to a quickfire 21 from 12 balls. (HE)
