OVER 1 100 RUNNERS and walkers from all strata of society took part in the second annual These Fields And Hills five-kilometre run/walk put on by Ellerton Wesleyan Holiness Church yesterday.

Among those participating in the healthy lifestyle fundraiser were former Member of Parliament Sir Louis Tull, St George South MP Dwight Sutherland and his political rival Senator Dr Esther Byer Suckoo.

When 105-year-old Hortense Rock cut the ribbon to launch the events, participants streamed out of the church yard at Eustace Lashley Road, Ellerton, St George, with great enthusiasm and returned in quick time with equal zeal. (KB)
