Guns for sale

WORD ON THE STREET is that the sale of illegal guns has become a big business in Barbados.

High powered weapons such as AK-47s, AR-15s, tec-9, UZI, and glocks, among others are flooding the streets.

They are being sold for $2000, $5000 and in some cases as much as $10 000.

But while there is the belief that men on the blocks are the ones carrying the guns, those men are telling the police ‘don’t come for us because we are not the ones bringing them in’.

That was generally the response when a SUNDAY SUN team visited a number of blocks to question the men about the proliferation of firearms on the streets. (MB)
