MEMBERS OF THE Barbados Association of Retired Persons (BARP) can now renew their membership with the association at branches of the Barbados Postal Service.

This announcement was made by BARP president Ed Bushell on Tuesday at BARP’s headquarters at Mervue House, Marine Gardens, Christ Church.

The membership renewal programme is expected to begin on August 2. Bushell said it should be a welcomed initiative as many BARP members said they found difficulty in renewing their membership cards.

The press conference was also attended by postmaster general Margaret Ashby and executive manager of BARP Elsa Webster.

Webster said that often members complained that work commitments, time constraints and lack of transport were some of the challenges they encountered.

When BARP members visit any of the 18 post offices branches they will be asked to fill out a membership information form and pay the BARP fee and transaction fee to the post office.  (TG)
