A magnificent partnership between Tremaine Dowrich of St Leonard’s Boys’ School and Christ Church Foundation’s Jakeem Forde led Barbados Under-15 to a great start in their quest to win their fourth, and the first on home soil, Cricket West Indies Under-15 Tournament at Weymouth “A”.

Home team Barbados were set a modest total of 104 to win by Windward Islands Under-15 in 50 overs, but were in serious trouble at 25 for six in the 13th over.

Little Dowrich was joined by the muscular Forde in a match-winning stand for the seventh wicket of 79 off 173 balls to take the Barbadians to a four-wicket victory at 104 for six in 38.5 overs.

This is the first time the Under-15 tournament is being played in Barbados. (HE)
