Sno-cone prices same for now

SOME SNO-CONE VENDORS are putting their prices on ice – at least for now.

Even though they are paying more for ice and cups, they say they are keeping sno-cones at $2.

With the increase in the National Social Responsibility Levy (NSRL) from two per cent to ten per cent on July 1, word on the street is that the price of sno-cones may soon go up as a result.

For years many Barbadians grew up buying sno-cones especially on a hot day and the sweet treats, which come in a variety of flavours, have become part of local tradition. (SB)
