Show ‘must go on’

COME RAIN OR SUN, the show will go on.

Minister of Culture Stephen Lashley maintains that bad weather will not hinder the annual Pic-O-De-Crop finals from being held tonight in the open air at the historic Kensington Oval.

“We will do what is necessary to ensure the finals come off,” he said in response to the SATURDAY SUN query about any alternatives being planned in the event of inclement weather.

This past Tuesday the island was affected by a tropical wave. Into Wednesday and Thursday there were several thunderstorms, including heavy showers caused by the remnant of the wave. (SDB Media)
