A 12-WICKET HAUL by off-spinner Chaim Holder led Massy Stores Spartan to victory over Massy United Insurance Wildey by 81 runs on the third and final day of third-round matches in the Barbados Cricket Association’s Elite Division yesterday.

The Parkites started the series on two points at the bottom of the league but the 16 points from this win lifted them to seventh place.

ICBL Empire, who completed a two-day victory over Maple inside two days, head the standings on 46 points, eight more than second-placed CounterPoint Wanderers.

Spartan batted first and scored 175 in their first innings to which the visitors replied with 102, with Holder snaring six for 33 from 15 overs. (HE)
