A FIVE-VEHICLE COLLISION caused a power outage along Roebuck Street, The City, yesterday evening.

A ZR van plying the Bank Hall route ended up in the front office of the Nation Corporation, damaging the electricity meter.

Ingrid Carrington, owner of one of the vehicles, said she was at a service at the nearby Mount Pisgah Spiritual Baptist Church when she heard of the accident that damaged the back bumper of her and her husband’s vehicle.

The accident took place around 3:40 p.m.

“From what I see nobody was seriously hurt. The major thing is that the electricity is off along here because one of the electricity wires broke and started to spark,” Carrington said. (LK)
