Spin set to star in semis

SPIN BOWLING WILL feature prominently in the Barbados Cricket Association’s Super Cup semi-finals from 9:30 a.m. today.

The consistent Crane Resort St Catherine host eight-time champs Massy Stores Spartan at Bayfield, while CounterPoint Wanderers entertain ICBL Empire at Dayrells Road.

And it won’t be a surprise if each of the four teams were to employ three or four spinners to exploit batsmen’s susceptibility to the slow stuff.

St Catherine are usually a force on home turf and will be bolstered by the return of prolific wicket-taker Derick Bishop, back for the last three matches after suffering a fractured finger. (EZS)
