Elevator scare for prayer team

MEMBERS OF THE Children’s Quarter Hour of Prayer Power show found themselves lifting their heads heavenward after they got stuck in a Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) elevator following a recording at the Pine studios on Friday.

It looked like business as usual for the host of the long-standing children’s show, evangelist Courtney Selman, and a team from the CMI Preparatory School’s summer camp. The schoolchildren are regular guests on the show. But after they boarded the elevator, things got sticky.

Selman said that in addition to himself, there were six others in the lift, including the principal of the preparatory school, Hazeain Harding-King, a teacher and four students. By the time they reached the ground floor, one floor down, the doors of the elevator had jammed.

He told the DAILY NATION this was not the first time he was stuck in that particular lift, but made it clear he was not pursuing legal action, but wanted to share his experience. (TG)
