Unions: Fight for workers not over

THE FIGHT IS not over.

In fact, after a perceived lull over the National Social Responsibility Levy (NSRL), the unions are once again gearing up to take the fight to Government.

This promise came in unison from leaders of the Barbados Workers’ Union (BWU), Barbados Secondary Teachers’ Union (BSTU) and National Union of Public Workers during Saturday’s BWU annual delegates’ conference.

Leading the charge was BWU general secretary Toni Moore, who warned that the “silence” following the Social Partnership meeting was not to be taken as them giving up the fight. (AD)
