THE BARBADOS SOCCER ACADEMY (BSA) has gained its 33rd football scholarship.

Recipient Jerome Boyce, who has already enrolled at the Shaw University in North Carolina, told NATION SPORT that the academy had helped him tremendously with acquiring new skills.

“I was very happy for the opportunity to be able to play for the BSA. It was through them that I really developed my skills as a footballer because at the beginning I was not a very good player,” he said.

“I always had the mentality that it’s not always the best players that succeed in life. It is those who are willing to work hard to achieve their goals. I am grateful to the BSA for their assistance in my football career.” (RG)
