POLICE SAY THEY are conducting thorough investigations into the circumstances which resulted in this morning’s discovery of the body of a male Caucasian in a remote area of St George.

There is speculation that the body is that of missing British national Steven Weare who was reported missing a week ago.

“At this stage we are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances of an unnatural death as it relates to this body. We are actively seeking to have a positive identification of this body. A further update will be given as this matter develops,” Inniss said.

Anyone who can provide any information that can assist with these investigations are asked to call 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477) or the nearest police station.

All information received will be strictly confidential. (PR/NB)
