Awardees urged to soar

WE WERE NEVER meant to be just one thing.

And it is from that premise executive director of the Barbados Renewable Energy Association, Meisha Clarke, is encouraging the 2017 scholarship winners at the Barbados Workers’ Union Co-operative Credit Union to embrace change.

Clarke delivered the feature address during the presentation ceremony at Solidarity House yesterday on the topic of Innovation. One of her main points was metamorphosis.

“Just like the butterfly who undergoes a change from a caterpillar . . . and then undergoes another alteration in their journey before finally bearing witness to the breakthrough of metamorphosis into a butterfly, never be afraid to transform and grow. We were never meant to be just one thing. Be the beautiful butterflies that God so much intended you all to be, and soar,” Clarke said. (YB)
