THE LEGAL YEAR 2017 TO 2018 got under way this morning with a service at the Calvary Moravian Church, Roebuck Street.

Speaking to the year’s theme Repositioning For World Class Excellence, officiating minister, Reverend Dr Adrian R. Smith, told the gathering of judicial officers, led by Chief Justice Sir Marston Gibson, that excellence must be the hallmark of everything.

He told the congregation that change was necessary in order for excellence to occur.

Smith said they needed to get rid of old mindsets and mentalities; they needed to put the right people in the right places at the right time; be ready for jealousy and difficult people; they should not forget where they came from; be thankful and that they needed to believe that they can reposition for world class excellence.
