The Sons Of God Apostolic Spiritual Baptist Church celebrated 60 years in fine style yesterday evening.
With worshippers from several churches and islands congregating at the Ealing Park, Christ Church sanctuary, Archdeacon Wilbert Waldrond told the gathering: “We have all come together to give God the glory for 60 long, hard years.”
The church was established by the late patriarch Dr Granville Williams in 1957 and has grown from strength to strength over the years.
Waldrond told the DAILY NATION there would be other activities throughout the week, including a meet and greet today with members from the overseas churches, an island bus tour on Wednesday and an open air service in Heroes Square, The City, on Thursday from 7 p.m.
He encouraged the country to come out and participate in the celebration. (AD)
