There is growing tension between a struggling mother and her agitated landlord.
When 41-year-old Stacia Cheltenham, an unemployed mother of five, woke up over the weekend, she realised she had no running water or electricity.
She is wondering if the landlord, Cedron Cherubin, who rents her the three-bedroom wooden house at No.5 Shop Hill, St Thomas, has any compassion.
However, Cherubin said he only made the decision after finding out that both bills had skyrocketed. He said the house’s water bill was now well over $1 300 and the electricity almost $800. He said he felt he had no choice with Cheltenham unable to pay. (TG)
