John Faulkner and Peter Foy are the first competitors to enter Sol Rally Barbados 2018.

The British pair entered in the Millennium Manufacturing Group 2-litre historic-spec Ford Escort BDG, in what the veteran driver Faulkner calls a stunning car which he debuted on the Pendragon Stages in August this year.

The entry was a 60th birthday gift to Faulkner from his wife Anna, long before entries officially opened on the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) website, www.rallybarbados.net, for the event which will run from June 1 to 3, with Flow King Of The Hill the previous Sunday (May 27).

Anna contacted the BRC in early May; almost a month before Sol Rally Barbados 2018 had even started, wanting to register an entry for next year for husband John, so she could surprise him on his birthday in the middle of June. (TT)
