Refs urged to lift their game

The ball is now in your court.

That was the advice from FIFA technical director Peter Prendergast and FIFA fitness instructor Joseph Taylor to referees during the closing ceremony of the Member Association Refereeing Course at the Barbados Football Association’s Wildey complex on Sunday.

Prendergast said Barbados Football Association president Randy Harris instructed referees to make necessary improvements, which would take them to another level in the field and that would have begun over the five days of the course.

“The information that we shared with you during the course of the last five days gave an insight as to some of the requirements necessary to achieve that objective. You have capable hands here to assist you in obtaining these heights,” he said. (RG)
