Barbados has overtaken The Bahamas to be ranked as the Caribbean’s most attractive “nationality” for wealthy expatriates.

This is despite the island not having a citizenship by investment programme like several of its neighbours in the region.

The accolade was bestowed on Barbados by The Henley & Partners – Kochenov Quality of Nationality Index (QNI).

The QNI is produced in a partnership between Henley & Partners, which called itself “the global leader in residence and citizenship planning”, and Professor Dr Dimitry Kochenov, said to be a leading constitutional law professor with a long-standing interest in European and comparative citizenship law.
