Barbados came from behind to level the playing field with defending champions and hosts Guyana, but had to settle for second place overall at the recently concluded Milex/Crown Mining Cup Long Range Team Shoot.

The Barbadians, who were almost bottom of the pack, rallied to equalise the final score of 712 points with Guyana at the 1 000 yards range at the Timehri Rifle Range in Guyana.

While the Guyanese felt they were on their way to a comfortable win, they did not expect the consistent performances of the Barbadian shooters, which saw them closing the gap.

Guyana, however, won the long range championship on account of securing more Vs – 36 to 27 – than their Barbadian rivals. (RA/PR)
