The finish line is finally in sight, but frustration is still escalating among CLICO policyholders.
While the authorities are hopeful that payments to these 15 000 individuals will start by December, the Barbados Investors And Policyholders Alliance (BIPA) yesterday complained that communicating with the judicial manager Deloitte via telephone was a major impediment.
BIPA, through its president June Fowler, is pleading with the judicial manager to urgently rectify the communication challenge.
“We have raised the matter of the failure of the telephone system with the judicial manager on three separate occasions, but are still receiving calls and messages at BIPA from frustrated and anxious policyholders who can’t get through to CLICO,” Fowler complained. (SC)
