A St Lucy mother had to celebrate her birthday on Saturday without one of her daughters, who has been missing since last Tuesday.

Broomfield resident Carmen Matthews’ birthday wish was to know whether her daughter Roxanne Matthews, 29, was safe. She said her daughter’s own birthday was coming up and she hoped by then word would be forthcoming.

“The last time I saw her was last Friday in Speightstown when she [had an appointment]. Afterwards she came and sat down with me and we talked and then she left and went along.

“It hard for me as her birthday is on Thursday coming, November 16 and she will be 30. We celebrate our birthdays in the same month as mine is today (Saturday). We go out together and I even take her with me to church,” she said.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts can contact District ‘E’ Police Station at 419-1730 or 419-1731, police emergency 211 or the nearest police station. (RL/PR)
