Defending champions Foundation registered a crushing ten-wicket win over Christ Church neighbours Deighton Griffith on Sunday to head the list of semi-finalists in the Barbados Cricket Association’s Schools’ Under-19 competition.
Playing on home turf at Church Hill in a quarter-final clash, Foundation dismissed Deighton Griffith for 82 and raced to the target in just 8.4 overs without losing a wicket.
The reigning champions will meet Nicholls Baking Combermere in the semi-finals next week Tuesday in a repeat of last year’s final.
Combermere advanced to the last four with a comfortable 80-run victory over Harrison College.
The other semi-final will bring together Queen’s College and Alleyne at Husbands.
Queen’s College earned their place by defeating Alexandra by four wickets, while Alleyne got the better of KFC Ellerslie by 46 runs. (HG)
