Prison officer charged

Police have arrested and charged a 47-year-old prison officer with the offence of unlawfully conveying prohibited articles into Her Majesty’s Prison Dodds.

He is Melvin MacDonald Goodman of Bathsheba, St Joseph and Todds Land, St George.

Police say he took a number of food items for an inmate on December 6 without lawful authority.

Goodman is expected to appear in the District “C” Magistrates’ Court today. (PR/NB)
